These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BillTrackr (the "App" or "Service"), operated by BillTrackr ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BillTrackr. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use BillTrackr, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain the security of your password and not share it with others
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You may register using your email address, or through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. When using a third-party login, you also agree to that provider's terms and policies.

3. Description of Service

BillTrackr provides the following features:

Bill Tracking: Record and organize your monthly bills, including amounts and due dates
Payment Reminders: Receive in-app and email reminders before bills are due
Debt Analysis: View insights about your debt, interest payments, and payoff scenarios
Rate Information: See current mortgage rates sourced from public Federal Reserve data
Lender Directory: Browse and compare lenders who may be able to help you reduce interest costs
Household Mode: Share bill tracking with household members you invite

BillTrackr is a personal finance organization tool. We do not provide financial advice, credit counseling, debt management services, or loan brokerage. The scenarios, insights, and recommendations in the App are illustrative and educational only — not personalized financial advice.

4. Lender Directory and Marketplace

BillTrackr's Lender Directory may connect you with third-party lenders and financial product providers through our marketplace partner, Engine by MoneyLion. By using the lender matching feature, you acknowledge:

You are providing your explicit consent under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) for Engine by MoneyLion and its network lenders to access consumer report information about you
Lenders displayed are third parties; BillTrackr does not guarantee any lender's terms, rates, approval decisions, or availability in your state
Any application you submit is directly to a third-party lender, and their terms and policies apply
BillTrackr may receive compensation from Engine by MoneyLion when you interact with lender offers. This compensation is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
Clicking "Apply" will direct you to the lender's website, where you leave BillTrackr's environment

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use BillTrackr for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Submit false or misleading information (including inaccurate financial information for lender matching)
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to BillTrackr's systems, accounts, or data
Use the Service to collect or harvest information about other users
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the App
Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service
Reproduce, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content without authorization

6. Household Mode and Shared Accounts

BillTrackr's Household Mode allows you to share your bill information with household members you invite. By inviting a member or joining a household:

You consent to sharing your bill data with other household members
You understand that household members can view, but not delete, each other's individual bill entries (unless designated as household bills)
Household administrators may remove members at any time
You are responsible for ensuring that anyone you invite has agreed to these Terms

7. Data Accuracy

BillTrackr relies entirely on data you enter manually. We are not responsible for decisions made based on inaccurate data you enter. The debt analysis, scenario modeling, and payment calculations are mathematical estimates based on the information you provide — they may not reflect your actual interest rates, payoff timelines, or lender offers.

Mortgage rate data is sourced from the Federal Reserve (FRED API) and may be delayed or not reflect rates available in your local market.

8. Intellectual Property

BillTrackr, including its logo, app design, features, and content, is owned by BillTrackr and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

All bill data you enter belongs to you. BillTrackr does not claim ownership of the content you provide.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No Financial Advice. Nothing in BillTrackr constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. BillTrackr is not a licensed financial advisor, credit counselor, or mortgage broker. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

No Warranties. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BILLTRACKR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BillTrackr, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law; or (d) false information you provide to us or to lenders through our marketplace.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to BillTrackr at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we determine your use of the Service is harmful to other users or to us.

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of BillTrackr after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Larimer County, Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before filing any lawsuit, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@billtrackr.app.
